Result: Reigns & Ambrose def. Wyatts by pinfall (Spear)

Rating: 3.5 stars out of 5 stars

Reigns tosses Wyatt over the barricade, and Ambrose ends up running across all three announce tables and hits a diving elbow to Wyatt. Back in the ring, the former Shield members are in control until Wyatt comes back in. Harper ends up hitting a suicide dive to Reigns on the outside after a slam onto the apron. Ambrose goes for a suicide dive but is stopped and then hit with a big boot on the rebound.

After the hectic opening, the Wyatts are in control with a massive suplex to Ambrose by Wyatt. Harper chops Ambrose so hard that his shirt rips open. Wyatt hits a hangman DDT to the arena floor with his feet on the second rope. Reigns is still not up on the apron to partner with Ambrose, leaving Dean to defend for himself in the ring. Ambrose is completely destroyed in the ring, but manages to catch Wyatt with a rebound clothesline. Reigns is finally in the corner and gets the hot tag.

Reigns goes blow for blow with Harper in the ring and goes gets caught with a massive powerbomb after a distraction by Wyatt. Wyatt gets tagged in and gets hit with a Superman Punch. Reigns then hit’s Harper with one as well and tags Ambrose in. The two hit the Doomsday Device on Wyatt, but the pin is broken up by Harper. Harper ends up eating an assisted powerbomb from the former Shield members.

Wyatt was playing possum the whole time and tries to get Dean with Sister Abigail. Ambrose manages to hit Dirty Deeds on Wyatt instead and Reigns gets ready for a Spear. He connects with the Spear to get the win over the Wyatts at SummerSlam.

Evan’s Note: The match that a lot of people suspected would have a heel turn in it turned out to have none, just a ton of action. The opening sequence of the match at ringside was well done and had a lot of cool spots. The story of Reigns being out of it for so long make Ambrose look as resilient as ever, and the Wyatts looked good here too. Another winner of a match on the SummerSlam card.
