Sting Crashes Seth Rollins’ Party

Before the match with John Cena at SummerSlam Seth Rollins had announced he wanted a statue at WWE headquarters if he won the match. That happened so the ending segment of Raw was meant to be the unveiling of that statue, which didn’t go too well for the Champion.

A segment to end the companies flagship tv show was visibly not pleasing the majority of the crowd. Despite the fact that Rollins is so good on the microphone this whole bit seemed to be going nowhere, how wrong could  you be ?

After a good bit of chat about how amazing Rollins was, the statue was uncovered, only to reveal the former WCW legend, Sting, was here to spoil the fun.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon bailed out of the ring before Sting attacked Rollins. Punches, kicks and chops all rained down on the double Champion before he suffered a huge Stinger splash in the corner and a clothesline over the top rope.

Rollins looked shell shocked on the outside as Sting held the WWE title belt above his head to the roars of the crowd.

If we’re not going to see Brock Lesnar face Rollins for the championship again any time soon, I can’t imagine how Sheamus will get anywhere near taking the belt via his Money in the Bank briefcase. I’m happy that someone totally different has been thrown into the mix.

After the ambush it was announced that Sting would face Seth Rollins for the WWE Title at Night of Champions. After years of starring for the WWE’s biggest rivals is it finally time we’ll see Sting hold the richest prize in the game? Tune in to Night of Champions and you’ll find out!
