4. Dudley Boyz Beat Them All
Since they returned a couple of weeks ago on Raw, The Dudley Boyz have beaten both the WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day as well as former champs The Prime Time Players on TV. After an absence of a decade, they are well and truly back and positioned right in the mix.
The reaction the Dudleys receive every time they have come out on TV shows you just how well thought of they are by the audience. It’s almost like they’ve never been away. You can’t argue that they aren’t the most over team in the company right now.
This last week, we’ve seen them doing all they can to put one of the New Day through a table. It’s brought some actual funny moments seeing the champs walking out with a table covered in bubble wrap and carrying placards proclaiming they want to “Save the Tables.” When someone finally gets 3D’d through the wood, the roof will blow off the arena.
The kayfabe brothers are chasing that elusive 10th tag title reign. After the gap of 10 years, I can’t imagine the pop when they finally get there hands on the gold once again. They’re the most decorated tag team in company history and I can see a few more reigns in their future.
It’s looking likely that there will be a triple threat match for the tag team gold at Night of Champions, featuring The New Day, Prime Time Players and the Dudley Boyz. Will that match finally happen, will the Dudleys get the gold or will the chase be a little longer? In a couple of weeks, we’ll find out.
