WWE Raw Review: Results, Analysis and Grades; What Happened to Seth Rollins’ Statue?
Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs. The Ascension
Result: Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns defeat The Ascension via pinfall.
Ambrose and Reigns entered in The Shield entrance. The Ascension also did not come out with Stardust.
Ambrose and Konnor began this match. Ambrose knocked Konnor down and hit an elbow. He then hit a knee and a dropkick as Reigns hit a big clothesline.
Viktor tagged in and began stomping on Reigns. Viktor then pushed Reigns out of the ring. Roman would punch Viktor and Ambrose would hit a dive through the ropes on Konnor.
In the ring, Reigns tossed Viktor and hit multiple clotheslines. He then hit the Superman punch and tagged in Ambrose. He hit a clothesline off the top rope as Reigns hit a spear on Konnor. Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds for the win.
After the match, Braun Strowman appears on the screen and says he is their destruction. Bray Wyatt says the apocalypse waits for them at Night of Champions. Harper tells them to run.
Rob’s Note: So The Ascension comes out just four days after aligning with Stardust, whose name did not get mentioned once, nor did what happened on SmackDown. WWE can be very frustrating when they screw up continuity.
On the other hand, Reigns and Ambrose coming out Shield-style was cool. This all didn’t feel like enough from these guys for the night, though. Maybe we’ll get the reveal of their partner at the 10 o’clock hour.
