Mr. Money in the Bank

It didn’t take long for Seth Rollins to make an impact after turning his back on Ambrose and Reigns.

Reigns would win a 19-man battle royal on the June 23, 2014 episode of Raw to be inserted into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ladder match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, but Rollins was the one who left the pay-per-view with gold.

Rollins defeated the likes of Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger to win the first of two ladder matches that night, and received a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship over the next 12 months.

Throughout the rest of 2014, the question became not whether Seth Rollins would become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but when would the cash-in take place?

Thanks to Dean Ambrose on numerous occasions, Rollins would have to wait for his time to cash in the briefcase. The two had an intense rivalry throughout most of 2014, culminating in a crazy Hell in a Cell match at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in October, won by Rollins.
