Reigns/Ambrose/Uso Interview:
Renee Young interviews the former Shield members about whose idea it was to get Jimmy Uso involved in the match. Reigns says it was Ambrose’s idea to get Uso involved, and Reigns says since he’s family he does trust him. Ambrose says if he’s Reigns’ family, than Uso is his own family too. Jimmy talks about being stuck at the commentary table all summer and how he’s ready to get back in the ring, go to war and get Uso crazy.
Paige (w/ Team PCB) vs. Sasha Banks (w/Team B.A.D.)
Result: Paige defeats Sasha Banks via DQ.
Rating: 2.7 sout of 5 stars
The rest of each woman’s respective teams get into it before the bell even rings. All four women (Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Naomi & Tamina) all get sent to the back by the referee, making it a true one on one match. Paige and Sasha start the match by trading pin combinations Sasha rolls to the outside to take a break and Paige hits a rolling senton off the apron to Banks. Sasha Banks kicks Paige to the outside as we go to break.
Back from the break and Sasha is in control. She hits the double knees to the stomach of Paige but only gets a two count. Paige fights out of a straight jacket submission and hits a high knee to Sasha Banks. Banks is getting beaten on but was playing possum, and pounces on Paige. The two women roll to the outside and continue to fight and after Paige spears Banks on the outside, the ref calls for another ref for back up. Tamina and Naomi come out to save Banks, and Becky Lynch and Charlotte come out to protect Paige. The six women brawl for a long while before finally being separated and making their way to the back.
Evan’s Note: The brawl was good to see as it was something different for the Divas division that harkened back to the beginning of this “revolution.” The biggest shame so far in this Divas angle has been the lack of push for Sasha Banks. While it is understandable that only one person can go for the title at once, it’s a shame Banks’ talents are being relatively squandered on the main roster. At least we can still see her in fantastic matches in NXT.
