4. The Wyatts Scare Everyone Away?

In the last few weeks we’ve seen the escalating feud between the Wyatt Family, the trio of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman, and Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. A 6 man tag match was announced for Night of Champions, but who would be the third man to team with the former Shield members ?

We’ve had a couple of hints this week, with both Randy Orton and Jimmy Uso looking like they could be the partner to fill the gap in team Reigns/Ambrose. It’s not ended well for either man. Orton was destroyed by the Wyatt trio on Raw, after the win in his latest match with Sheamus, a beat down that also serves to get Randy off tv for a while. On SmackDown we saw the unfortunate Jimmy Uso, cousin to Reigns, get the gig as the third team member for the match with the New Day. That ended with Jimmy in the grips of Strowman on the ramp, another candidate out of the question perhaps.

A lot of credit must go to the Wyatts for making this such a good story to get involved in. Having them take out anyone who looks likely to become a partner to the former Shield team mates keeps the interest in the feud, whilst pushing Strowman as a monster to compliment the talents of Wyatt and Harper.

Who will be the man to fill the void at Night of Champions? There’s been the rumor that it could be a call up for NXT’s Baron Corbin, whilst I’d love to see that it doesn’t really fit with his “Lone Wolf” character.

One thing that stood out during this week was the amped up talk of needing a family member to team with Reigns and Ambrose. Playing up the fact that Reigns is related to Uso also draws you to remember that The Rock is also related to Roman, how good would that be to see The Great One as the third man?
