  1. Money in the Bank Ladder Match

This could arguably be the match type of the decade. The Money in the Bank Ladder match is one of the more intriguing ideas that the WWE has put together, because of the match itself and it’s year long aftermath. It all start at WrestleMania 21 and has evolved into something much, much bigger.

The WWE has a habit of taking a gimmick, adding something to it and making it better. And that is what they did with the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. A ladder match with a WWE Championship Match contract hanging above the ring. Some would consider it the match of the PG Era. The match itself and then the ensuing year of potential cash-ins have made the MITB match must see WWE, because a cash in could happen at any moment. Those cash-ins are some of the bigger pops that the WWE has seen in this decade, making the MITB match a hit with this generation of fans.

It has gotten so big that the WWE has devoted an entire PPV to it and while other gimmick style PPV’s have failed, the Money in the Bank PPV has been a rather nice change of pace and has been very successful.
