The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz and Dean Ambrose

Result: The Dudley Boyz and Dean Ambrose defeat The New Day via disqualification.

Rating: 3.3 out 5 stars

The New Day made sure to take the time to let the audience know that the most powerful force in the universe is the power of positivity. The New Day listed off all the wrestlers they’ve targeted of late, specifically emphasizing The Dudley Boyz and Dean Ambrose.

The Dudleys came out at the end of the promo, followed by Dean Ambrose, who received a deafening hometown pop.

The teams took their sides, and Bubba Ray and Kofi Kingston opned the match. Bubba Ray delivered a massive hip toss and suplex and tagged in Devon. The Dudleys double-teamed Kofi, which allowed them to maintain control of the match.

It wasn’t much longer until Xavier Woods distracted the ref so that Big E could get a cheap shot in on Devon. The New Day converged on him, and took turns cycling into the ring and stomping Devon Dudley.

Eventually Xavier became the legal man and connected with a splash in the corner. He went for the splash again, but Devon reversed it into a neckbreaker off the turnbuckle.

That gave Devon enough time to make the tag to Ambrose. Ambrose came in smoking hot, clotheslining Woods and knocking the rest of The New Day off the apron. He then landed a bulldog on Xavier Woods and went up to the top rope.

Kofi tried to grab Ambrose’s leg, but Dean kicked Kofi down to the floor. Woods then tried to attack Ambrose, and again Dean escaped danger by jumping over Woods. He gained some speed off the ropes and sucide dived to the outside onto Kofi.

Ambrose’s onslaught continued with a clothesline to Big E, and then he was back on the turnbuckle, connect with the standing elbow on Woods.

Dean then put Woods in the corner and lifted him up with an awesome double-arm superplex. Big E slid into the ring and leveled Ambrose temporarily with a clothesline of his own. Big E then went for the big splash, but Ambrose rolled out of the way and tagged in Bubba Ray.

Big E tagged in Kofi, who quickly got launched with a massive backbody drop from Bubba. Order broke down as Xavier Woods entered the ring; Bubba took him out with an elbow. Kofi then hit Bubba with a dropkick, which was followed by Devon catching Kofi with a spinebuster.

Next, Big E took out Devon with a belly-to-belly suplex, but as soon as he turned around, Ambrose hit Big E with a missile dropkick from the top rope. Ambrose went to the top rope again, and Xavier Woods shoved him out toward the announce table.

Meanwhile, Kofi rolled up Devon in the ring, but Devon kicked out at two. Bubba Ray slid into the ring, and he Devon delivered the 3D to Kofi. Bubba went for the pin, but Woods dove in and hit Bubba with the trombone.

The New Day went back and forth beating on the Dudleys, destroying the trombone in the process. Dean Ambrose remained knocked out on the floor, as The New Day finished off the Dudleys.

The New Day stood tall in the center of the ring, holding up their titles as SmackDown went off the air.
