Rhyno vs. Baron Corbin

Result: Corbin defeated Rhyno via pinfall (End of Days).

Rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars

The two former tag partners and former adversaries start off the match with a tense staredown. Rhyno gets the upperhand and Corbin tries to escape to the outside. Rhyno tosses him back into the ring and lays into Corbin with some forearms. Corbin goes to the outside again, where he intercepts Rhyno and tosses him into the ring steps. Rhyno manages to get back into the ring at the count of nine as we go to a commercial.

Back from break and Corbin is firmly in control. Corbin slams Rhyno to the mat and continues to brawl with him. He picks Rhyno up for a spinning sidewalk slam but can only get a two count. Corbin and Rhyno continue to brawl on the outside, with Rhyno tossing Corbin into the ring steps.

Corbin comes back in the ring where Rhyno hits a belly to belly suplex for a close fall. Rhyno sets up for the Gore, but eats a boot from Corbin. Rhyno tries again and connects with a Gore, but Corbin kicks out at the last second. He goes for another Gore, but Corbin catches him with an End of Days for the pinfall fictory.

Evan’s Note: This was never going to be a technical masterpiece, but it was a very entertaining brawl. Corbin looks strong coming out of this mini-feud with his tournament tag team partner, and Rhyno is at the stage of his career where his status isn’t diminished by losing a match like this. A good main event to top off this week’s NXT.

Samoa Joe is shown backstage addressing the challenge from Tyler Breeze. He says Breeze is desperate for eliminating him from the battle royal. Joe says Breeze should take a pretty picture, because once he gets his hands on Breeze he will never look the same again.
