Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro
Result: Rollins def. Cesaro via pinfall (Pedigree).
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Cesaro slams Rollins to start the match and even poses on top of Rollins. The champ rolls to the outside. Stardust and the Ascension are at ringside with signs that say “Stardust Section,” mocking Cesaro. Rollins tries to leave, but thinks better of it and comes back in at the count of 8.
Cesaro hits a series of uppercuts and goes for the swing, but Rollins rolls out again. Cesaro gives chase to Rollins, but Seth catches him and tosses him into the barricade and the steel steps as we go to break.
Back form commercial and Rollins is firmly in command. He mocks Cesaro’s taunts, but Cesaro drop kicks Rollins off of the top turnbuckle. Rollins is on the outside and Cesaro uppercuts Rollins over the barricade. Back in the ring, Cesaro attempts the swing again but gets caught with an enziguiri for a two count. Cesaro hits a Very European Uppercut but gets a two count. Cesaro puts Rollins into a crossface, but he grabs the ropes with his feet.
Cesaro goes for a top rope suplex but Rollins escapes and pulls him off the ropes. Rollins hits a quick Pedigree for the win. After the win Stardust and the Ascension mock Cesaro from the sidelines.
Evan’s Note: Good win that made Cesaro look really good. Rollins is a very weakly booked champion, but he does look better for not walking out on another match. It’ll be interesting to see if WWE puts the strap on Kane for a last-hurrah one-month run, or if they let Rollins continue as champ.
