Charlotte (c) vs. Nikki Bella

Result: Charlotte defeats Nikki Bella via submission to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

Rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars

Nikki started with a knee to the gut but Charlotte countered and threw her into the turnbuckle. Charlotte hit a neckbreaker and multiple punches to the face. Nikki would counter but Charlotte countered with a head scissors-like move.

Nikki would hit a big forearm that got Charlotte out of the ring. She hit a big knee to the back and got a near-fall in the ring.

Nikki would get Charlotte into the ring and put on a hold. She hit a snap suplex for a near-fall. Charlotte would put Nikki into two backslides for a near-fall.

Nikki would plant Charlotte’s face into her knee for a near-fall. She put Charlotte into a half-crab submission and then launched her into the ropes for a near-fall.

Charlotte came back with a big boot for a near-fall. She went for a suplex but her back gave out and Nikki took back over. Nikki hit a big spinebuster for a near-fall.

Nikki kicked Charlotte in the chest but got hit with multiple chops. Nikki came back with an elbow and went for a move off the ropes but Charlotte sidestepped. She hit a neckbreaker for a near-fall.

Nikki would go for a superplex as Charlotte was on the top rope. However, Charlotte countered with a DDT and speared her. She then put on the Figure Four but couldn’t get the bridge up for the Figure Eight and Nikki got to the ropes.

Nikki would toss Charlotte out of the ring. She then hit an Alabama Slam onto the ring apron. Nikki then went for the Rack Attack but Charlotte reversed and put on the Figure Eight for the win.

Rob’s Note: I enjoyed this match a lot. Great ring psychology and just well-wrestled by both women. Well done.
