Usos Interview

Renee Young interviews the Usos and asks them about facing the Wyatts. They say the Wyatts have a nasty style and a nasty smell. The Usos say tonight it isn’t forgive and forget, it’s get even and get going. The Usos literally could not stop moving that entire interview.

Kalisto vs. Ryback

Result: Kalisto def. Ryback via pinfall (Salida del Sol).

Rating: 2.5 stars out of 5 stars

Kalisto gets a pre-recorded promo where he talks about it not being the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. Kalisto will be the next great luchadore for WWE, filling the Mysterio role. The two men share a handshake before the match starts.

Kalisto uses his speed to frustrate Ryback early, and hits a quick Solina del Sol, but Ryback powers out at two. We go to a quick commercial break.

Back from the break, Kalisto tries for a kick to Ryback’s ribs. Ryback catches the luchadore and hits him with multiple powerbombs. Ryback gains control and tosses Kalisto around the ring. Ryback hits a big vertical suplex and keeps Kalisto grounded. Kalisto connects with a dropkick sending Ryback to the outside. When Kalisto goes for a moonsault, Ryback catches him for a slam.

Ryback goes for a Shellshock, but Kalisto almost gets the three count from a roll-up. Kalisto gets nailed with a meat hook clothesline, but Kalisto gets his foot on the rope to break up the pin. Kalisto and Ryback end up on the top turnbuckle and Kalisto hits the Salida del Sol from the top rope for the pinfall victory.

After the match, the two men shake hands and Ryback congratulates Kalisto on the victory.

Evan’s Note: Not much chemistry, but nice to invest in Kalisto. Also why wasn’t Sin Cara cheering on his tag team partner at ringside?
