Survivor Series (2005) – Team Raw (Shawn Michaels, Kane, Big Show, Carlito and Chris Masters) vs. Team SmackDown (Batista, Rey Mysterio, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton) in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match

Remember when SmackDown and Raw were their own entire separate brands? It was an interesting time, that had its pros and cons, but it did allow for more talent to standout on each roster. Case in point, this Survivor Series match had a nice mix of veteran and young talent from both rosters.

Lashley dominated the match early on, but was sent packing thanks to a Kane chokeslam. Eliminations went back and forth until Team Raw lost three in a row: Big Show, Carlito, and Masters. This left Michaels against Mysterio, JBL, and Orton of Team SmackDown, but Michaels was able to superkick both Mysterio (caught mid-air) and JBL out of the match in rapid pinfalls.

A fairly standard Survivor Series match that had some great eliminations near its closing moments, watching Michaels and Orton fight each other one-on-one was an appropriate ending. In back-to-back years, Orton was the sole survivor.
