Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler

Result: Dean Ambrose defeats Dolph Ziggler to advance to the semifinals on Sunday at WWE Survivor Series.

Rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars

Ambrose and Ziggler had a long hand lockup. Ziggler took down Ambrose by the leg for a one-count. They then continued the long holds until Ziggler attempted a small package.

Ziggler would go for a superkick but Ambrose ducked it. Ambrose then clotheslined him over the ropes.

Dean would go for a second rope dive but Ziggler moved out of the way. They got back in the ring and Ziggler worked on Ambrose with a hold on the neck and legs for a one count.

Ziggler hit a dropkick for a one count. He whipped Ambrose into the corner but the Lunatic Fringe hit a backbreaker.

Ambrose began working on the back of Ziggler and put on a half-crab. Ambrose hit a top rope elbow but Ziggler got him into an attempted pinfall.

Ziggler put on a sleeper hold but Ambrose ran into the turnbuckle to force a break. They then traded pinfalls and went for their signature moves until they ran into each other in the center of the ring.

Ziggler would meet Ambrose on the top rope and they exchanged punches, leading to both falling off and onto the outside.

We come back to see Amborse hitting a second rope dive but Ziggler hit the Fameasser for a near-fall.

Ambrose hit a backslide for a near-fall but Ziggler came back with a DDT for another near-fall.

Ziggler would look for a superkick but Ambrose attempted a roll up for a near-fall. Dolph put on the sleeper hold but Ambrose countered with one of his own. Ziggler countered but Ambrose hit his clothesline for a near-fall.

Ziggler met Ambrose at the top rope and slammed him to the mat face first but may have tweaked a knee. Ambrose would roll out of the ring.

In the ring, Ambrose would roll up Ziggler in a small package for a near-fall. Ziggler hit a superkick for a near-fall.

They would exchange right hands in the middle of the ring until Ziggler hit a headbutt. He rolled up Ambrose but Dean countered into Dirty Deeds for the win.

Afterwards, Ambrose said if he wins the title, he said he’ll change everything in WWE. He said he wants more pyro, replace Michael Cole with a fish tank, and said he’ll make the WWE into the Ambrose Asylum.

Rob’s Note: That was an awesome match. A lot of technical wrestling from both Ambrose and Ziggler that made both look excellent. Now Ambrose will face Kevin Owens in the finals.
