WWE NXT Review: Results, Analysis and Grades; Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss

The Ascension vs. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan

Result: Jordan & Gable def. The Ascension via pinfall.

Rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars

Gable starts off against Viktor, who extends a hand for a handshake but then kicks Gable in the gut. Jordan and Gable manage to isolate Konnor in the corner with shoulder checks. The Ascension turn the tables and isolate Gable, using their size to dominate the smaller grappler. Gable manages to dump both of the Ascension to the outside and hot tag Jordan.

Jordan comes in and takes out both members of the Ascension. He pulls the straps down and hits an overhead belly to belly suplex. The pin is broken up, and Viktor ends up hitting Jordan with a flying dropkick. Gable hits a diving senton off the apron to the outside. Jordan and Gable hit their tag team finisher on Viktor and pick up the pin.

Evan’s Note: Jordan and Gable are primed to be a dominant tag team as either faces or heels in the future. While Jordan may be the more polished athlete with higher potential, it is the charisma of Gable that is really making the team click. Hopefully on their eventual call up to the main roster they’re allowed to continue what they are doing.
