WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinals Match
Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens

Result: Dean Ambrose defeats Kevin Owens via pinfall to advance to the finals.

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars

Ambrose began with a hold on Owens for a one-count. Owens got in a hold of his own. He then hit a shoulder tackle but got hit with an arm-drag by Ambrose. Dean went for a pin for a one-count.

Owens rolled up Ambrose for a near-fall. He then began hitting chops.

Ambrose hit an elbow and began dragging Owens’ head along the ropes. Ambrose then hit Owens with a move over the top rope. Back in the ring, Ambrose got a near-fall.

As Ambrose went to the top rope, Owens knocked him to his behind. Owens then hit a cannonball in the corner for a near-fall.

Ambrose would work out of a hold and throw multiple right hands. KO then hit a reversed fireman’s carry slam for a near-fall.

Owens would hit a senton for a near-fall. He hit multiple clotheslines for a near-fall.

After a chin lock from Owens, Ambrose would fight back by dodging a senton. They began trading forearms before Owens tossed him into the ropes. KO would hit a knee to the gut and go for a moonsault off the ropes that missed. Ambrose then climbed to the top rope for an elbow for a near-fall.

Then on the top rope, Owens hit a move for a near-fall.

Ambrose would come back with a huge clothesline and a dive over the ropes. However, Owens caught him. In the ring, KO went for the Pop-Up but Ambrose countered. He went for it a second time and missed. Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

Rob’s Note: Very fun match as well. A little predictable, but it was good for what it was. Now Ambrose and Reigns will face off in the finals to determine the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
