New Thanksgiving Day!
New Day is in the back with Team B.A.D celebrating Thanksgiving. Kofi and Big E are talking with Sasha Banks, Naomi, and Tamina about what they are thankful for: Tricep meat and the tag titles.
Heath Slater shows up and brings his famous Slater Slaw but there is a band-aid in it so they shoo him away. Adam Rose shows up and gives Kofi “rabbit stew.” The Ascension show up and say they brought desolation and destruction, but Kofi and Big E say they can’t eat with them since they didn’t bring anything.
Big E and Kofi say that Xavier is brining the turkey, and he shows up dressed as the Gobbeldy Gooker. Woods brings up the Power of Poultry.
I could watch New Day and Team B.A.D as a shopping channel for four days straight and be entertained.
Alberto Del Rio w/Zeb Colter vs. Jack Swagger
Result: Swagger def. Del Rio via disqualification.
Rating: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Colter says he taught Swagger everything that he knows, but they see Swagger as an ungrateful “s.o.b.” Colter says Jack has blind American loyalty. He calls Jack and the Indianapolis crowd haters before Swagger makes his entrance.
This non-title contest starts with the two men trading blows. Del Rio catches Swagger with a huge DDT for a two count. Del Rio goes to the top rope and hits a foot stomp on Swagger.
The two men end up on the outside and Swagger clotheslines Del Rio over the barricade by the timekeepers area. Swagger turns his attention to Colter, and when he does Del Rio nails him with a chair for the DQ.
Swagger turns the tables after the match and nails Del Rio with the chair too. He stands tall after attacking Del Rio with the chair.
Evan’s Note: A short match that will be meant to start a program between the two for TLC for the United States title. I’d pencil these two in for a “chairs” match at the event. These two have had so many contests before, so their rivalry will not be new, but it’s fresh due to the time off for Del Rio and Swagger’s limited appearances recently.
