Final Thoughts

While the Super-Reigns booking was not a strong as I initially thought it would be, it still is extremely frustrating for WWE to stick to a script that isn’t working. Reigns has adversity thrown at him each week, but each time it is not more than he can handle.

The four men he was facing tonight included the King of the Ring, one of the most dominant United States champions in history, a former world champion and current United States champion, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Yet Reigns managed to take them all out and make it so they weren’t able to answer the ten count. That is not how you successfully build up a heel force for a babyface to overcome. It’s just not sound booking.

Elsewhere, the rest of the show was fun and didn’t feel slow. Having New Day be the test for the Usos and Ambrose was a fun matchup with talented performers. A Miz-Neville rivalry could be a great undercard feud that hasn’t happened yet, and the Wyatts and Dudleyz are a good feud that just needs to see the veterans from ECW get one over on the younger, more inexperienced Wyatts.

Finally, the best thing of the entire night was R-Truth. Simple as that.
