1) Roman Reigns Avoids the Royal Rumble

The 2015 Royal Rumble match goes down as one of the worst in recent memory. There are a ton of reasons for this but Roman Reigns being the predictable winner and actually getting the victory may have topped them all. It didn’t help that to do, he tossed Big Show and Kane, two men fans don’t care much about, over the ropes to win (plus a quick elimination of Rusev).

To make matters worse, Reigns was even booed when The Rock came down to help him clear out the heels who were beating him down. It was the worst case possible for WWE that they had to avoid in 2016. Putting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Reigns before this event alludes that situation.

Reigns will still be at the Royal Rumble, but be faced with a title defense against Sheamus. Since the Royal Rumble match is to determine the No. 1 Contender for the best at WrestleMania 32, the former Georgia Tech football player won’t be in it. This means we won’t get the vicious boos that overtake the prestigious match, which is a great thing.

If anything, this makes the Royal Rumble more interesting than ever. Who could be the 2016 winner?
