Two challengers for the Intercontinental Championship?
Here’s where things are about to get interesting after the main event on the recent episode of SmackDown between Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler, where Dean Ambrose ran out to make the save preventing Owens from “injuring” the Show-Off. Both Owens and Ambrose fought before Owens started walking up the ramp, only before he decided to superkick Ziggler.

This brought Ambrose out to ringside to help check on Ziggler, who would superkick the Intercontinental Champion and sat next to the barricade just looking at the result of his strike. So how does all of this get sorted out when it’s expected that Owens is going to want to enact his rematch clause for the title he lost at TLC.
However, we now have a third person throwing himself into the picture and Ambrose doesn’t seem to be the type of person who is going to simply give Ziggler a pass. Nor will Ziggler going to apologize as he cuts a promo about that expresses his frustration for not having any championship gold around his waist – despite being a veteran in WWE compared to both Ambrose and Owens.
All three of these men should in the Royal Rumble and each could be among the favorites of possibly winning the chance to main event WrestleMania in April. But until then, maybe we build towards a potential main event either next week or on tomorrow’s live SmackDown.
