WWE’s Monday Night RAW will close out 2015 as it has closed out years past, with their annual Slammy Awards. The WWE’s version of the Oscars, the Slammy Awards are the kayfabe awards giving out to Superstar of the Year, Rivalry of the Year, OMG Moment of the Year and Tag Team of the Year just to name a few. A way to get some guys over and to close out the year with a look back at a year’s worth of matches and moments, the Slammy’s are designed to close the 2015 chapter of RAW and the WWE and to look forward towards 2016 and what lies ahead for the WWE and their superstars.

Last week, Roman Reigns finally achieved his dream of becoming WWE World Heavyweight Championship, taking down Vince McMahon in the process. Reigns was able to push past everything that was keeping him down over the past year, and he finally got his moment in Philadelphia, the city that booed him after he won the Royal Rumble back in January.

This time, though, the crowd didn’t boo. Instead, they showered Reigns with cheers and appreciation for what he went through over this past year. This won’t be the hardest part of the journey for Roman, as the McMahon family doesn’t go down without a fight and we are sure to see the beginnings of that fight tonight on Monday Night RAW.
