10) Batista – WrestleMania 23 (2007)
During a time before Batista would become a star in one of Marvel’s most successful movie franchises, he was one of the more dominant World Heavyweight Champions in WWE who would put his championship on the line against the Undertaker in a match that was billed as “The Streak vs the Title.”
This was a match that had plenty of striking offenses with both men exchanging punches, kicks and clotheslines both inside and out of the ring. The men used the ring as a weapon and even the tables and barricade around it to abuse each other. Both exchanged powerful slams back and forth with both men hitting their powerbombs and signature moves to a number of close two-counts that got the fans excited inside Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.
Near the end, Batista looked as if he was going to deliver the Tombstone Piledriver before Undertaker reversed it and showed him how it was done properly. It would be the Deadman’s first run with the World Heavyweight Championship reign after being a four-time WWE Champion, but it was a memorable win because of the two powerhouse strikers that were part of the WWE’s “Ruthless Aggression” era going after each other in a memorable match.
