4. Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose – Money In The Bank 2015

Checking in at No. 4 is the final title match between these ex-Shield members which concluded what was in this writer’s opinion the best feud of 2015.  Most believed that after Rollins’ money in the bank cash-in title win at Wrestlemania 31 that Roman Reigns would be the guy to step up and challenge The Architect.  He was the one that Rollins used to capture the belt at Mania, and heck, everything else has pretty much just been handed to Reigns so why not this too?  But instead, it was Ambrose that stepped to the plate.  And it’s a good thing that he did because every match between these two was outstanding.

From their clashes on RAW, to their efforts in a Fatal 4-Way at Payback, to their war at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, and this final feud “blow-off” match, both men cemented themselves as main event caliber workers.  This clash lasted just over 35 minutes, and it was 35 minutes of sheer mayhem.  The two men worked every spot perfectly, building up the violence move by move, adding up to a level of brutality that could rival any ladder match of the past.

Rollins would once again leave with the belt but it was Ambrose’s stock who benefited the most on this evening.  By proving his toughness and willingness to go through hell in pursuit of the WWE Championship, he proved himself a perennial top of the card guy.  His emotional post-match speech was absolutely genius as well.

With Rollins now finally back to the WWE after recovering from a serious knee injury, it’s no mystery to see where he’s going.  He’s looking to reclaim the belt he never lost.  If he’s successful in doing so, will Ambrose set his sights on him again?  Let’s hope so.
