Sami Zayn’s popularity is  continuing to rise as WWE’s underdog of the underground, which is why he is a very good choice for winning Money in the Bank.

For the man who some might have considered the face of the NXT development brand between 2013 and 2015, Sami Zayn had quite the interesting initial impact on the WWE main roster; one with some ups and downs.

Sure, his original debut in May 2015 ended on a sour note when he injured his shoulder during a match where he answered John Cena’s United States Championship open challenge. But it was clear that the company had good things planned for Zayn’s future – he was introduced to WWE television by Bret “The Hitman” Hart in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

After he recovered, he returned to the main roster during January’s Royal Rumble and fans embraced his return that included a feud with Kevin Owens and being a part of the seven-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. While his actual time on the main roster is short, he has developed a cult following as the underdog from the underground and it has grown over the past few months.

As we approach WWE Money in the Bank 2016 on June 19 in Las Vegas, Nev., this is a look at the five reasons why Sami Zayn should win the Money in the Bank ladder match.
