WWE Money in the Bank 2016 Results: Rusev vs. Titus O’Neil Video Highlights

Who won when WWE United States Champion Rusev faced Titus O’Neil at the Money in the Bank PPV?

Has anybody come out of a 60-day banishment better than Titus O’Neil? The Prime Time Player was suspended a few months ago for horsing around with Vince McMahon on camera, a punishment many saw as unjustifiable. Titus kept his head down (Ryback and Adam Rose could learn about that), and now he’s been rewarded with a U.S. Championship match against Rusev. Not much storyline support behind it, though. At least not yet.

Basically this all began with Rusev crushing Kalisto to reclaim the title he once held, and instantly he and Lana began branding themselves as American heroes. He also claimed he’d hold the title for the next seven years. Titus isn’t havin’ that, though.  He began challenging Rusev and getting under the Bulgarian Brute’s skin, until Rusev gave him a nasty beatdown on Raw earlier this week. Will Rusev’s lofty goal be abruptly cut short? Or will Father’s Day be a day of celebration for Titus, the WWE’s Celebrity Dad award winner?

Rusev was the first out to the ring, introduced by the “Ravishing Russian” Lana.

The Celebrity Dad of the Year had his kids at ringside. Is he really going to let them down on Father’s Day?

This one was a collision right from the beginning, but it was Rusev whose agility gave him the upper hand.

Titus is one of the strongest superstars in WWE but Rusev is one of the few who can out-power him, using it to pummel him

Titus managed to use his own strength to mount a comeback, hitting Rusev with a nasty pumphandle slam before the two battled outside of the ring.

But it was Rusev’s speed that won the day, rebounding with a devastating superkick that put Titus down long enough for him to be locked in the Accolade. Moments later he passed out and Rusev scored the win! So much for a happy Father’s Day!

After the match Rusev went ringside and talked trash to Titus’ kids, calling their father a “loser” right in their faces. That’s not very patriotic.

Slow moving match that was slotted in the worst possible place, following the Cena/Styles and MITB ladder matches.

Hopefully, this is the end of this feud at Money in the Bank but the ending guarantees we’ll see more, at least through Monday night’s Raw.
