WWE Championship Triple Threat Match:
Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins

When it comes to long-term rivalries and feuds this matchup has been in the making since the middle of 2014 when Seth Rollins turned on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, effectively dismantling the Shield.

Since that time all three members have been WWE Champion all with their own setbacks as part of their reign.  Seth Rollins looked to be a successful cowardly heel champion until an injury forced him to forfeit his Championship last year.

Roman Reigns was set to be a top face after The Shield broke up but he also had an injury and upon his return was not over as a face with the crowd at all.  The boos only increased as he became champion and a failed drug test has completely setback his career.

Dean Ambrose hasn’t had a lot of adversity as Champion but with the brand split and him being the only member of SmackDown in the match, that is another card stacked against him from winning as unfortunately, I see Shane and Stephanie having a role in the outcome of this match.

Minus the likely involvement by the McMahons, this should be a very good match.  The crowd response that Reigns gets may be the most interesting part of the match, however, not because everything else will be bad, but the response will be impossible to predict, especially if he continues to act as a traditional baby face.  Coming off a suspension though I cannot see any way that he can win this match.  Seth Rollins story has been about rebuilding and relaunching his career.  A win here would complete that mission.  For Dean Ambrose, the question becomes does the WWE institute a second championship.  A wild card in this match would be some type of draw between Ambrose and Rollins with the solution to once again have a second top championship.

Prediction: Seth Rollins
