Sasha Banks’ WWE Raw Promo Nearly Sends Fans into Panic

Sasha Banks returned to WWE Raw on Monday night, and fans freaked out.

Sasha Banks had last been seen at WWE SummerSlam, where she lost her Women’s Championship defense to Charlotte. Throughout the match, Banks favored her back, which the Raw commentary team noted, too. Charlotte went after this body part, which contributed to the finish of this bout. However, it had been revealed afterward that Sasha legitimately injured her back before SummerSlam, and dropped the belt to take time off to heal her injuries. It wouldn’t cause her to miss much time.

Well, it seemed The Boss was going to return even sooner than expected. She noted on her Twitter account that she’ll be appearing on the September 5 episode of Raw.

Around the 10:40 PM portion of Raw, Banks came out for a promo. She got visibly upset fast, and talked about the days of her growing up as a WWE fan. It seemed she was reminiscing a bit too much, and had been about to say something “bad” the doctor told her, until Dana Brooke came out.

Moments later, Banks had Dana in the Bank Statement, and told Charlotte’s ally that the bad news “was for Charlotte” because she’s going after the women’s title.

Well, this promo sent WWE fan into tears, or at least that’s what it seemed like on Twitter.

Fans were mostly mentioning this sounded like the classic fake Mark Henry retirement promo. He sold the end of the road for his WWE career, but attacked John Cena instead.

As for Sasha, she is still here and wrestling. It looks like she could get her rematch with Charlotte soon, potentially at Clash of Champions. However, with Bayley having defeated the two-time women’s champion on Raw, that may complicate things. Could it lead to a Triple Threat?
