WWE Backlash 2016 Results: Usos vs. Hype Bros Video Highlights
Check out video highlights from the match between the Usos and the Hype Bros at WWE Backlash 2016.
The Hype Bros and Usos squared off in a second-chance match at WWE Backlash, with both teams still vying to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
After losing to American Alpha in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship tournament, the disgruntled Usos attacked Chad Gable, injuring him in the process. As a result, American Alpha was unable to compete in the tournament finals, thus forcing Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan to create a match between the Usos and the Hype Bros.
The Hype Bros also suffered an elimination in the tournament, but now they had another shot at facing the team of Heath Slater and Rhyno to become inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Championship belts. First, however, they had to defeat a changed Uso team with a newfound aggression.

The Usos came out to the ring first, sporting a new look without face paint. They loomed over the SmackDown tag titles as the Hype Bros made their high-energy entrance.
Mojo rode that energy to start the match, launching Jey Uso out of the ring. Ryder tagged in, and so did Jimmy. Ryder was about to hit the Broski Boot, but Jey pulled his brother out of the ring. The Hype Bros’ assault followed the same course, and the duo continued their domination.
Eventually, Jey pulled Ryder out of the ring, and the Usos isolated Long Island Iced Z. Rolling Ryder back into the ring, the Usos took turns keeping Zack on the mat.
Jimmy locked in a sleeper hold, and Ryder tried to fight out, but Jimmy connected with a spinning roundhouse kick to stay in control. Ryder found an opportunity, though, when he hit the hangman’s neckbreaker, and after fending off the Usos for a while longer, he made the hot tag to Mojo Rawley.
Rawley teed off with a pair of stinger splashes on Jey Uso, followed by a military press slam.
The Hype Bros then went for the Hype Ryder, but Jimmy Uso cut out the attack. Ryder persisted, hitting a Frankensteiner on Jey Uso, followed by a Broski Boot on Jimmy. Things looked promising for the Hype Bros, but a timely chop block by Jey on Ryder gave the Usos an opening.
The Usos proceeded to wear down Zack Ryder’s calf, and after locking in a modified clover, Zack Ryder had no choice but to tap out.
