5 WWE Stars You Forgot Were Still Employed

5. Scott Stanford
The WWE has a large field of sports broadcasting journalists having come through their doors. That’s not to say that Scott Stanford is not at the level of someone like Jonathan Coachman. But Stanford certainly has kept a a regular gig as a sports anchor in the New York area. But there were some gaps when he first came to WWE in 2009 as the host of Bottom Line.
Fans would see Stanford become the main play-by-play on Superstars; although that never had quite the audience following they would have hoped. Stanford hasn’t really been a prominent part of the commentary division in WWE. He’s made small appearances here and there, along with some time as the host of pre-shows for both Raw and SmackDown.
Stanford is someone who isn’t necessarily a terrible voice. But he’s also someone who has found himself lost in the shuffle with the promotions of Mauro Ranallo to the SmackDown Live team and Corey Graves to the Raw team. Stanford probably isn’t strong enough to become a play-by-play man when someone like Michael Cole decides to retire.
At least if Stanford does leave the WWE, or is released, he would still have his sports anchor job in New York.
