5. Something Different Than Lesnar Dominance

What have WWE fans in the last few years involving Brock Lesnar? He has essentially destroyed everyone and everything in his path. Defeating the Undertaker at WrestleMania 30 helped put him over the top as the nearly indestructible force in the WWE Universe. It’s understandable that the WWE would want to keep him strong against some of his recent opponents like Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton.

The problem with the type of booking is that it’s hard to have someone legitimately be able to win. It can also lead to some very boring matches. If the fans have a hard time believing that someone can credibly get a win over Lesnar, then the match seems less enjoyable. Fans like to be treated with something that is a little different from what they’re used to.

A match with Goldberg is going to present a separate challenge than some of the more normal matches against other WWE superstars. Despite being 49 years old, he’s still Goldberg. He certainly hasn’t allowed his physical condition to deteriorate due to an older age. Having Lesnar lose a match to Goldberg would give fans a different result than what we’ve seen in Lesnar’s matches over the last two years.
