ROH World Championship Match
Adam Cole (c) vs. Kyle O’Reilly

Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly have been linked to each other for years. It started with their Future Shock tag team, which crumbled after Cole betrayed O’Reilly with help of the Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven).

Cole and O’Reilly have crossed paths since, including in PWG. They even competed in the ROH World Championship match at the 14th Anniversary Show in February. Jay Lethal would successfully retain the belt here.

However, just months later, Cole became the world champion after beating Lethal. This opened up an opportunity for O’Reilly to target his arch-rival. Unlike previous encounters, these two will head into the main event of ROH Final Battle to contest for the world championship. A win would be a long time coming for O’Reilly, who hasn’t won a world title with the promotion. It would be a sweet victory for him to defeat Cole and end his second run with the belt.

Both men are also arguably getting the biggest pushes of their ROH careers, making it a bit tough to determine what will happen here. Will Cole get to celebrate with the Bullet Club and continue their ruling of wrestling? Or will O’Reilly celebrate in the prestigious Hammerstein Ballroom where plenty of great ROH moments have happened before?

In the end, this is going to be O’Reilly’s night to finally beat Cole in his biggest match. This would cap off what should be an excellent Final Battle PPV.

Prediction: Kyle O’Reilly defeats Adam Cole to win the ROH World Championship.
