Randy Orton Turns on Bray Wyatt, Burns Down Compound (Video)
Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt are going to collide at WrestleMania 33, but you have to see what happened between these two to close SmackDown Live.
Randy Orton had seemingly backed out of his WrestleMania 33 opportunity against Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship. He “refused” the match, instead leading to a battle royal being created to find a new No. 1 contender. This eventually led to AJ Styles vs. Luke Harper, with the former winning.
However, these plans may have been interrupted on Tuesday night.
During the final segment of SmackDown, Wyatt came out for a promo segment, the details of which hadn’t been revealed. Quickly into this, Orton appeared on the big screen and at a part of the Eater of Worlds’ compound. He spoke about being given the “keys to the kingdom,” but quickly flipped the script and said it’s not his.
This led to a dark and vicious promo from the Viper, who made Wyatt weep after pointing to the part of the Ground where Sister Abigail was allegedly buried. He then said he will face Wyatt at WrestleMania 33 for the WWE Championship.
To close things out, Orton picked up a container of gasoline and poured it all over the room he was in. He stepped out, lit a match and set the run-down shack on fire, making Wyatt go mad.
This was wild and had plenty to take in. It set up Wyatt vs. Orton at WrestleMania 33, which seemed obvious all along. To get there with this, however, was unexpected and something that will be spoken about for quite a while.
The question now arises with AJ Styles. He won the No. 1 contender match against Luke Harper earlier in the night. Does that mean we’re getting a triple threat at WrestleMania? Will the Phenomenal One be removed from the equation?
