Could Alberto El Patron be making his way to TNA and appearing at their Impact Wrestling taping?

Alberto Del Rio (now known as Alberto El Patron) left WWE nearly six months ago, ending his second stint with the company, which saw him go through MexAmerica and the infamous League of Nations stable. He has since worked in various pro wrestling promotions, but not on a mainstream company platform.

However, this may all change.

On Thursday night, TNA will be hosting their latest Impact Wrestling taping, which will be the first one without Matt and Jeff Hardy, Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis, Jade, and Drew Galloway under the new regime. All of these talents were let go after not having their contracts picked up. To replace them, ownership and Jeff Jarrett, who is taking on a creative role, has potentially brought in El Patron to work Thursday’s recording.

Ed Norholm, who is the Executive Vice President for Anthem Sports & Entertainment (Anthem owns TNA), posted this photo of El Patron and Jarrett. They are standing in a wrestling ring that looks like the six-sided one that TNA became famous for:

Patron’s potential TNA debut is an interesting one, as Cageside Seats had reported in their rumor roundup that he had been scheduled for the taping, but wouldn’t be appearing anymore. This is due to former creative member John Gaburick being gone from his role. If the above photo means anything, then not having Gaburick around won’t make a difference for Patron arriving on Impact Wrestling.

Jeff Jarrett eventually posted this on Twitter, signaling that El Patron has signed:

Now we have to wonder how many other new talents will be brought into the taping. Garza Jr. and the Laredo Kid are already known to be debuting, so there could be other names set to appear.
