Did Goldberg continue his dominant reemergence or Kevin Owens reign supreme at Fastlane and keep the Universal Championship?
Heading into Fastlane, it’s been a good run from Kevin Owens. It really has. After winning the title that Finn Balor vacated the night after last year’s SummerSlam, “KO” has been a successful, fighting champion. He’s warded off hard-charging challenges from Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns and has solidified himself as a top flight performer. However, much of his success came from his now ex-best friend Chris Jericho. Owens ended that friendship on the February 13th episode of RAW when he viciously attacked “Y2J” during their “Festival of Friendship” ceremony.
The timing of the attack on Jericho was probably not the smartest for Owens. He heads into Fastlane to take on the man that destroyed the once-believed indestructible Brock Lesnar in under 90 seconds at Survivor Series in November. It seems that Owens could use all the help he can get. So how did this title match play out? Another one-sided Goldberg demolition? Did Jericho get involved? Did Lesnar play a role in the outcome? Read ahead to find out.

Owens spent the first few minutes walking around the ring, avoiding the match. Once he got in, Chris Jericho’s music hit, distracting Owens long enough for Goldberg to hit a spear and a jackhammer. And just like that, the WWE puts the Universal Championship on Goldberg and sets the WWE back about 2 decades.

Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are now heading into WrestleMania 33 with the Universal Championship on the line. It could main event the show, unless Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton actually takes that spot. What do you think of this and the match at WrestleMania 33?
