WWE 205 Live: Preview for March 14

This week on 205 Live we officially find out who will challenge Neville at WrestleMania.

It took a while but the Cruiserweight Division and 205 Live have finally arrived. With new superstars being introduced to fans every week it took some time to build depth. Now we have so many great talents that the WWE Universe knows about. This year’s road to WrestleMania could really solidify the division as a whole and 205 Live itself.

This week on Raw we saw two matches within the division and a huge announcement regarding WrestleMania. First, we saw some tag team action. Akira Tozawa teamed up with TJ Perkins to take on The Brian Kendrick and Tony Nese. Again, we saw two of the divisions feuds intertwined within a tag match that felt somewhat rushed. Ultimately, the heels, specifically Tony Nese, picked up the win with a roll up on TJ Perkins.

Next, we saw the RAW debut of The Greatest Man That Ever Lived, Austin Aries. Aries was involved in singles action against Ariya Davari. Aries was able to pick up the victory in what really was just a showcase match for him. Davari is a good talent who I’m sure will see things go his way eventually but, it was great to see Aries the wrestler in a RAW ring.

Now, the big take away from Raw. Before the tag team match it was announced that there will be fatal five-way elimination match on 205 Live. The winner of the match will go on to face Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania. The match will be between TJ Perkins, Akira Tozawa, Austin Aries, The Brian Kendrick and Tony Nese.

One last thing, there was a picture of a new Cruiserweight Championship on Reddit. It’s a great looking title but unfortunately, all signs point to it just being a fan edit.
