4 Predictions for WWE SmackDown Live: March 14, 2017

Last week on SmackDown, the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship was decided. What can we expect this week as we inch closer to WrestleMania?

After weeks of back and forth, deciding a number one contender for Bray Wyatt’s WWE Championship, one was finally determined last week. Randy Orton, being the Royal Rumble winner, got his chance to face AJ Styles last week to determine the new No. 1 contender. The WWE veteran, Orton, was able to pull out the victory and give Styles a rare loss. Now, we can expect some epic promos from two of the best on SmackDown Live over the next few weeks.

We should expect to see either Wyatt or Orton call out the other in the ring this week. Orton is the likely one to do so and we will see the usual sight of Wyatt’s face on the Titantron delivering one of his eerie, yet enticing promos. Will the two meet face to face or perhaps interfere in one another’s matches? Here, Wyatt and Orton have a chance to show why they are deserving of the main event at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Also occurring last week, was the odd match-up of John Cena and Nikki Bella taking on Carmella and James Ellsworth. The match went as expected. Cena and Bella both hit their respective finishers simultaneously and scored the pin fall victory. After which, The Miz and Maryse cleared the ring and further talked more trash on Cena and Bella. This feud should keep the fans entertained over the next few weeks leading into WrestleMania.

As we emerge closer and closer to the big show, we will start seeing more and more match-ups filling up the card. Expect more fallout from the current feuds like Baron Corbin and Dean Ambrose as well as the Miz and John Cena. Now, let’s get into the predictions for this week.
