WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns to SmackDown, AJ Styles to Raw?

WWE could be making Roman Reigns and AJ Styles switch brands during the next draft.

In the 2016 WWE Draft, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles weren’t the top picks of Raw and SmackDown, respectively. Reigns only slipped because of his violation of the WWE Wellness Policy in June, and Styles went one pick after then-WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose.

Since then, Reigns and Styles have gone on to arguably be the biggest stars of their brands. They garner the biggest reactions and are consistently placed in the top feuds.

According to the PW Insider Elite, WWE may look to move these two big-name stars in the yet-to-be-announced draft. This would see Reigns go to SmackDown and Styles move to Raw. It would be done to create new feuds.

After colliding with most of the top names on their respective rosters, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to freshen things up, especially in the main event scene. Both shows could use a new look, which starts with Reigns and Styles moving and potentially other Superstars.

The Big Dog going to SmackDown could line him up with heels like Baron Corbin, the Miz and Bray Wyatt, pending al three stay on the Blue Brand. WWE could have Reigns and Wyatt contend for the WWE Championship if Wyatt still has the belt during the draft.

As for the Phenomenal One, he could go head-to-head with anyone from Finn Balor (Can you smell an ex-Bullet Club leader match?), Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. There are even opportunities with Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman if any of them were to turn face, something that goes for Styles too.

There’s no guarantee we even see Roman Reigns and AJ Styles essentially trade roster spots. We don’t know when this draft is happening either. So would this be a move you want to see?
