Bayley’s new Snickers commercial is awesome and shows off a side of her we haven’t seen in the WWE.
Bayley’s time on the WWE main roster has been shaky at times. She had to find her footing in the fall, only to get into the Raw Women’s Championship picture after Roadblock. It led to an unsuccessful Royal Rumble title match, but she then claimed gold on a February episode of Raw.
Heading into WrestleMania 33, Bayley is Raw Women’s Champion, and will defend the belt against Charlotte and Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat match. It’s the biggest bout of her career and could cement her as the top babyface of the WWE Women’s Division for months to come.
However, wouldn’t it be unique if the Hugster was to turn heel? We’re potentially months or years away from this happening, but it would be as interesting as some of the WWE stars that rarely or never have turned. A glimpse of this was seen, however, in a commercial she did for Snickers. It’s a fantastic 30 seconds that gives us an angry Bayley, who used the word “hug” as profanity.
This makes you not want to be a hugging buffoon and buy a Snickers, right? Because I’m ready get one.
If this is actually what Bayley would act like as a heel, then this has the potential to be something special. Yes, it’s just a commercial and if she were to turn, it may look completely different. Like many things in WWE, though, a Superstar acting with a change of attitude is usually refreshing for their character and the program. That could be the case once the Raw Women’s champion’s face run goes stale, if it hasn’t already, depending on which fans you ask.
