4 Predictions for WWE SmackDown Live: March 21, 2017
WrestleMania is less than two weeks away. What can we expect from the fallout of AJ Styles’ malicious attack of Shane McMahon on SmackDown Live?
As WrestleMania nears closer and closer with each passing day, SmackDown Live will have an interesting last couple of episodes prior to the big show. SmackDown took a turn last week with a huge surprise on the part of AJ Styles. Styles has been displeased with the way the show has been run over the past few months, especially after losing the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble to John Cena.
After losing his opportunity to main event the biggest show of them all, Styles took matters into his own hands and attacked Shane McMahon last week and was subsequently fired by GM, Daniel Bryan thereafter. McMahon announced last week, as the show was going off the air, that Styles will indeed have a match at WrestleMania. McMahon versus Styles will likely be made official this week on the show.
Also occurring on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, The Miz and Maryse further stated their claim on how manipulative and deceitful both John Cena and Nikki Bella can be. Maryse claiming Bella took away an opportunity for her to return to WWE and a spot on the reality TV show, Total Diva’s. This feud is certainly shaping up to be an excellent one and will culminate at WrestleMania in less than two weeks.
Two champions were pinned fair and square last week on the show as well. Mickie James pulled out the victory over Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss and The Usos with a well-timed counter, pinned the tag team champions. Now, let’s examine at what can happen this week on SmackDown Live.
