The Revival Backstage Promo

Dash and Dawson talk about how great of a tag team they are. Dawson says they fight for money. Dash says they put down the Authors of Pain. They go into DIY and mock them for how they rose to NXT.

That’s only a summary, but this was really good from the Revival. They are hitting on all cylinders and have all the momentum needed… for a main roster call-up.

We then get the announcement of Akam vs. Dash Wilder vs. Johnny Gargano for next week’s WWE NXT. It’s a rare instance that all three of these Superstars are by themselves. It’s not like the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Divisions, which constantly have one-on-one matches with members of tag teams.

A Look Back on Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Bobby Roode

With not much for WWE NXT to seemingly do, they turn to a video package for the rematch of Bobby Roode vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. It went back into their careers across the pro wrestling landscape. As always, it was good.

I may be in the minority on this, but I’m not jumping out of my seat for this match. It was good the first time around, but there’s been nothing built to create interest in Round 2.

No Way Jose, Tye Dillinger and Roderick Strong Interview

Jose called SAnitY three “pieces of crap,” something I’d never thought would be uttered on the usually-PG show. Strong then spoke about them wanting to win.

Heavy Machinery Vignette

We get a vignette for Heavy Machinery’s upcoming push. They’ll compete next week

Kassius Ohno Interview

We get an interview that took place after Kassius Ohno lost to Bobby Roode. Elias Sampson interrupts and says NXT isn’t for Ohno, who says the Drifter needs an “a** kicking.” Sampson says Ohno doesn’t belong here, which the latter says about the former. Ohno then makes a Loser Leaves NXT match for next week.

Ohno isn’t leaving NXT after two months. So, are we seeing Sampson after WrestleMania 33?

Also, why couldn’t this match have been before the match with Roode? It was taped this way in February and would’ve made more sense to give Ohno a win in his first match back. He’ll win next week, but what about after that?
