2. Roman Reigns Defeats Undertaker

The idea of Undertaker losing at WrestleMania 33 has grown strong over the past week. From his age to Reigns being made into the “next John Cena,” and the reported hip surgery, it has seemed like the end is near for the Dead Man … on paper.

After WrestleMania 32, the idea was thrown out there that it had been the last time we’d see Undertaker in a WWE ring. This drifted away into the summer. It, of course, did not come true after he returned in November 2016 on SmackDown Live.

Is Taker in great shape? Maybe not, but there’s no way of “officially” knowing unless he says something. Given how he’s stayed out of the media for the majority of his WWE run, don’t expect him to say anything.

For WWE to send off the Undertaker by giving one week’s notice of a Retirement match doesn’t seem like something they’d do. He could use a longer buildup, maybe months in advance to give him a proper sendoff. This might not produce the best match if he’s actually in terrible shape, but it would be the right thing to do.

Reigns winning and retiring Undertaker will garner the heat he’d never be able to recover from, IF he stays babyface. Given WWE’s reluctance to make this change for the past two years, they would probably keep him status quo.

Until something concrete is heard, it’s difficult to think Undertaker is losing at WrestleMania 33. He’ll get his proper send off in one year.
