Today’s Al Roker will appear at WrestleMania 33, being a special guest ring announcer. Which match will he do this for?

John Cena has many jobs outside the wrestling ring. He has and will be appearing in movies, guest-hosted SNL, hosted award shows and even helps out with Today on NBC. His latest appearance came on Monday, coming in between his house show matches and just days before WrestleMania 33.

At the Show of Shows, Cena will team with Nikki Bella to face the Miz and Maryse. It’s a bit of a Total Bellas/Total Divas crossover, which will likely make its way into the show’s storylines in future episodes. Given the entertainment feel to this, it seems WWE is taking this one step further.

During Cena’s guest-hosting appearance on Today, he asked host and weatherman, Al Roker to be the guest ring announcer for his WrestleMania match. As Cageside Seats noted, this is part of Roker’s week of “Rokerthon3,” which will see him attempt to set world records.

Cena and Roker have worked together on most of the Leader of the Cenation’s stints on Today, if you’re wondering if this is just a random act. So for those who watch Today and enjoy what these two have done together, then here’s your chance to see them at WWE’s biggest show of the year.

WWE using celebrity guests at WrestleMania isn’t unique, as they’ve done it for nearly every show. Sometimes, they even make wrestling appearances. Floyd Mayweather, Maria Menounos, and Shaquille O’Neal have been some of the most recent celebrities to take part at the Ultimate Thrill Ride. While Roker isn’t wrestling, he’ll draw some mainstream attention, which may be the goal of this for WWE.
