NXT TakeOver: Orlando Results: Highlights, Analysis, and Grades
Follow along with our review of NXT TakeOver: Orlando.
On Saturday night, WWE NXT will take center stage with NXT TakeOver: Orlando. This will emanate from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL, as part of WrestleMania 33 Weekend. TakeOver is in between the Friday’s Hall of Fame ceremony and Sunday’s WrestleMania.
NXT has lost some steam on the way to Orlando, mostly due to their TV product. However, their live specials always provide a quality showing, so it’s possible the brand can make up ground with an entertaining show.
Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura will main event a TakeOver for the second straight time. They’ll fight for the NXT Championship, which Roode won from Nakamura at San Antonio in January.
These two haven’t met since that show, as the King of Strong Style was out for almost a month, and after he became the No. 1 Contender, they still didn’t go face-to-face. It’s a different way to build a main event, but it will be thrown away once both competitors step into the ring.

One match with potentially the most on the line is Asuka vs. Ember Moon. Not only is the NXT Women’s Championship being defended, but so are both woman’s undefeated streaks. Moon’s has lasted since her debut in August 2016, but the Empress of Tomorrow has reigned supreme since her own arrival in October 2015, becoming arguably the most dominant female in NXT history. Someone is going down, though, so who will it be?
