Aleister Black vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Result: Aleister Black defeats Andrade “Cien” Almas via pinfall.

Rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars

Can we please point out how EPIC Black’s music and entrance was? It captivated the 10,000 in attendance with how dark and out of this world it was. Go order the WWE Network just to see this. Seriously.

Black didn’t show too much early on, which was a good tease. Andrade got the chance to dominate and be in control, until we saw the Anti-Hero rise up and display what’s made him a highly-anticipated arrival in WWE NXT.

The match had its sloppy spots, as Black and Cien didn’t mesh well at times. This included a spot off the top rope from Almas and a few clunky pin sequences. However, they cleaned that up quickly.

This was all about Black here, even with this being a good showing from Almas. He showed the makings of a star NXT so badly needs, especially if Shinsuke Nakamura’s last show with them is tonight.

How about the finisher from the former Tommy End, too? He lifted up Almas with his leg and set up the Black Mass, which was very cool.
