Marty Scurll (c) vs Adam Cole for the Ring of Honor Television Championship

This match could steal the show.

Neither of these men has a built-in story with each other going into this title match but that doesn’t matter. Both these men work traditionally as heels but both are very over with the crowd. Based completely on their in-ring talent, this match could steal the show.

Adam Cole is coming off a classic ROH title match, which saw him drop the belt to Christopher Daniels. Before that, there was some dissension in the ranks of Bullet Club between Cole and Kenny Omega. Since dropping the belt, Cole attempted to fire the Young Bucks from the stable but was reminded there was only one elite leader and his name is Kenny Omega.

The Villain Marty Scurll has become one of the most over wrestlers in Ring of Honor since becoming the ROH TV Champion in November. He defeated Will Ospreay and Dragon Lee in a Triple Threat title match at Final Battle. The Villain also defeated Sonjay Dutt at Manhattan Mayhem and then defeated Lio Rush in an amazing match at the 15th Anniversary show.

If Scurll defeats the only three-time Ring of Honor World Champion in history, he continues to elevate the ROH TV Championship like no other before him. The Villain is so over right now, even if he loses that might only be a signal that he is moving on to the World title scene.

If Cole wins the TV title, expect more “BAY-BAYS” for one. Cole winning the TV title the PPV after losing the World title could certainly help elevate the belt’s prestige. With the rumors circulating about Cole’s future with the company, a TV title win might be a sign he wants to stick around.
The real winner of this match is the fans.
