Rob Gronkowski getting physical at WrestleMania 33? He made a special appearance during the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Rob Gronkowski’s friendship with WWE star Mojo Rawley has been well-documented. They’ve known each other since they were both on the football field.

While being part of the New England Patriots, you can’t expect Gronkowski to wrestle or do anything physical in the ring, right? Well, not so much, as he got involved in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33.

Rawley was one of the final competitors left in the match, but got assaulted by Jinder Mahal at ringside. With Gronkowski in the front row, Mahal mocked and taunted him. So, the NFL star jumped out of the stands and into the ring. He lined up Mahal and bulldozed him with a big-time shoulder tackle, getting “hyped,” as Rawley would say.

Moments later, we saw Rawley eliminate both Gronkowski and Mahal to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. He’s the fourth WWE star to do so.

Celebrity moments like this are what makes WrestleMania. We’ve seen this for years, starting with the first-ever Show of Shows with Mr. T competing in the main event. While Gronkowski’s actions weren’t quite that, it was still a fun moment in the lighter part of the event.
