Which matches will fans be able to see on the WrestleMania 33 Kickoff Show?

WrestleMania 33 is here, meaning it’s time to sit back and watch the biggest wrestling show of the year. Tens of thousands of fans will pack Camping World Stadium to watch some of WWE’s greatest Superstars of today and in their history.

At 7:00 p.m. ET, the main part of WrestleMania will begin. However, the two-hour Kickoff Show will take place before that at 5:00 p.m. ET. As of this writing, it has two matches planned.

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship bout will be one of what takes place on the Kickoff. This will see Austin Aries challenge Neville.

This is Aries’ first WrestleMania. He actually hasn’t wrestled on a WWE pay-per-view (not counting NXT TakeOver) either, so Sunday night will be a landmark one for the wrestling veteran. It comes on the biggest stage in the business, which makes it all that much grander for Aries.

As for Neville, it’s his first WrestleMania, too. He could have been part of WrestleMania 32 in April 2016, but suffered an injury just three weeks before the show. So, this will be just as big of a deal for him as it is for his challenger.

The second WrestleMania 33 Kickoff match will be the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. 25 Superstars will compete to honor the late Andre the Giant in this contest’s fourth-ever installment.

As of this writing, there are 25 confirmed names for this over-the-top-rope showcase. This includes Sami Zayn, Big Show, Braun Strowman and Mark Henry. Two NXT stars will also make their debuts — Killian Dain and Tian Bing, the latter of whom is WWE’s first-ever Chinese Superstar.

These two matches could be joined by more at WrestleMania 33. The SmackDown Women’s Championship bout had been planned for it, but fan backlash caused it to be moved to the main show. So, without that, are you still looking forward to the Kickoff?
