With his impending return on the horizon, Finn Balor is set to make a huge impact when he comes back to WWE. Fully recovered from the injury which cost him the Universal Championship, the Demon King will probably return tomorrow night on Raw. When he does, expect the roof to come off the building. Before his untimely injury, he was well on his way to becoming the most popular superstar on the brand.
So who will Balor target first when he returns to the squared circle? Assuming that he seeks the championship he never lost, Brock Lesnar would be his opponent. The two athletes have completely opposites styles, which makes a match between the two extremely enticing.
It would be the ultimate battle of speed versus power, and neither man would walk away unscathed. Balor, in particular, has the potential to prove a lot in such a contest, and in turn, could benefit immensely. Just being in the ring with the Beast gives someone credibility, and fighting tooth and nail to defeat him speaks volumes.
Could Balor become the man who defeats Lesnar for the Universal Championship? That remains to be seen, but if history is any indicator, anything can happen in WWE. The win would instantly propel Balor back to the main event, and usher in the era of the Demon King.
