2. A Huge Tag Team Returns

When The New Day came out before the RAW Tag Title match began, fans thought they knew what was coming. As the hosts of WrestleMania 33, the trio hadn’t been scheduled for a match on the show. We assumed that they were going to add themselves to the match, and it seemed perfectly acceptable. Then it turned out that it wasn’t them who would be competing, it was Matt and Jeff Hardy.

The moment their familiar theme song played over the speakers, the fans in attendance came unglued. It was a truly historic moment, as the Hardy Boyz are one of the most popular tag teams to ever step foot inside the squared circle. Rumors had been running rampant that the two were set to return, but you never know these things for sure until they happen. There was no bigger stage for the brothers to come back at, and in turn, it showcases why WrestleMania is a place where memorable moments are made.

As for the match itself, the action was strong and engaging, keeping fans interested throughout. While it wasn’t as strong as previous ladder matches that have taken place at the event, it was still a very entertaining showing. Jeff especially showcased his talents here, diving off a ladder on the outside subdue Cesaro and Sheamus. Sending the men crashing through two ladders, his sacrifice bought Matt enough time to grab the belts.

Now that they are back in the company, it’ll be interesting to see where they go from here. A rematch with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson seems to be the next logical step. Should these two teams be given ample time, the action they produce could be very entertaining.
